I: Introducing the Views
Each of the 5 major cardiac imaging windows will be demonstrated [Apical 4 and 5 chamber, parasternal long and short axis, high parasternal and subcostal views] at a separate station. Learners will have the opportunity for hands-on practice using state-of-the-art echocardiography simulators [EchoCOM;, Leipzig, Germany] and live models with expert tutorial. Participants will be exposed to common clinical scenarios and how echo measurements may help refine patient care. Space is limited to preserve a high teacher to learner ratio.
II: Novel Imaging Tools
Seminar sessions with live demonstration of sophisticated techniques and measurements w hich are at the cutting-edge of neonatal research and clinical care including such topics as Strain imaging using speckle tracking, Tissue Doppler imaging. The comprehensive assessment of the right ventricle will be featured, including the RV 3 chamber view and the comprehensive left ventricle assessment will include torsion.
